Senyuu Week 2021
This is an unofficial event organized by the fans, for the fans, to celebrate Senyuu's 11th anniversary. We'll be running a Senyuu prompt week and an unofficial character popularity poll, as well as a Senyuu fan merch giveaway!

Jun. 1 - Senyuu Week announced. Prompt suggestion form opened.
Jun. 18 - Prompt suggestion form closes.
Jun. 19 - Prompt Week prompts announced. This is when you can start working on your prompt fills!
Jul. 1 - Unofficial Senyuu Popularity Poll opens. Fan Merch Giveaway details finalized and announced.
Aug. 15 - Fan Merch Giveaway tweet and post made. You must either retweet the tweet or reblog the post to opt into the giveaway (as not everyone may be interested in participating.)
Aug. 22 - First day that you can post Day 1 prompt fills.
Aug. 23 - First day that you can post Day 2 prompt fills.
Aug. 24 - First day that you can post Day 3 prompt fills.
Aug. 25 - First day that you can post Day 4 prompt fills.
Aug. 26 - First day that you can post Day 5 prompt fills.

Quick Prompt Week FAQ
You don't need to make a prompt fill for every day to participate- feel free to skip as many days as you'd like! You can also submit multiple prompt fills for a single day.
We highly encourage making your prompt fill(s) in advance- you don't need to wait until Aug. 22! However, please do not post your prompt fill until the actual day.
To have us retweet/reblog your post and to get your extra ballot for the giveaway, make sure you either (a) tag the post with #SnyuWeek2021 or (b) DM us.
Themes are optional. Your submission(s) for a day only needs to use one (1) of the day's three prompts to count as a prompt fill. The idea behind the themes was to encourage giving some love to underappreciated aspects of canon, but we didn't want to make it mandatory! The point of this event is to have fun, after all.
Unofficial Senyuu Popularity Poll
There's been quite a number of significant characters added to Senyuu since the last official popularity poll in 2014. We thought it might be nice to host an unofficial poll to see how characters stand today.
You can vote in the poll once a day from now until Sept. 4. Get your favourite character up high in the rankings!
The final results will be announced on Sept. 5. We also plan to announce tentative results sometime in early August.
(If you're interested in the fan merch giveaway, you'll receive an extra ballot the first time you share your vote on either Twitter or Tumblr after voting. Please tag your post with #UnofficialSnyuPopularityPoll - to confirm that we've recorded your extra ballot, we'll like your tweet on Twitter, and DM you on Tumblr. Fan Merch Giveaway
We thought it might be fun to give away some Senyuu fan merch to encourage people to participate! Additionally, as we thought that winners may not necessarily be interested in every piece of merch (especially fans who aren't particularly interested in Alba or Ros), so instead of having set prizes, we've set up a system to let winners pick what they'd like from what we have to offer!

Double-sided Ghibli Alba and Ros keychains. These are star-shaped 2 inch keychains. A Howl's Moving castle crossover with Ros on one side and Alba on the other.Gold-edge otome isekai albatross keychains. These are 3 inch double-sided keychains, but have the same design on the front and back. The first is from the setting in this fic, the second is a Bakarina crossover, and the last is a Tearmoon Empire crossover.Single-sided 3 inch Alba and Ros bubble tea rainbow keychains. The colours change between yellow and blue and pink in the light!

Merch marked with green asterisk are limited quantity - please be aware that lower-placed winners may not be able to obtain them.You may choose up to one per design of limited quality merch. (ex. You could choose both the Meta Ros and 10th Anniversary Alba bubble tea keychains, but not 2 Meta Ros bubble tea keychains.)All other merch is limited to two per design per winner.Higher-placed winners (ex. 1st place over 3rd place) will be prioritized if multiple people would like the last piece of merch.

Prizes
1st Place: 32 points worth of merch
2nd Place: 24 points worth of merch
3rd to 4th Place: 16 points worth of merch

Shipping will only be covered for 1st and 2nd places.
Estimated shipping cost (for 3rd place onwards) is $5-25 USD, depending on where you live.
Packages will be sent tracked within North America and untracked worldwide. (3rd place onwards can choose between tracked and untracked.)
Ballots
With this giveaway, you have the opportunity to gain multiple ballots in the random draw:
One ballot for retweeting or rebloging the giveaway announcement post (that will be made on Aug. 15). This is required to join the giveaway, as we need an "opt-in" mechanism (not everyone who participates in Senyuu Week may be interested in the giveaway.)
Alts for multiple ballots are strictly prohibited - you may only reblog/retweet from one account.
You must retweet from a public account- we cannot see priv retweets.
One ballot for following either @snyuevents on Twitter or snyuevents on Tumblr.
One ballot for the first time you vote in the Unofficial Popularity Poll and share your vote on either Twitter or Tumblr.
A ballot for each prompt fill you make. If you make multiple prompt fills for one day, you will receive a ballot for each submission.
Important Info
We will DM winners via Discord, Twitter, and/or Tumblr. If you have your DMs closed, please DM us yourself after we @ you in the winner announcement tweet/post.
If you do not respond within 24 hours to confirm your interest, we will choose another winner.
You will have three days (72 hours) after we first DM you to tell us which merch you want.
As some of the merch will be printed on demand, we ask for your understanding that it may take up to two weeks to a month for the prize to be shipped out.
FAQ
Q. Can I start working on prompt fills early?
A. Yes, we highly encourage it. Trying to make even one prompt fill in a week's time would be tough!
Q. Are the dates set in stone?
A. Excepting any real-world emergencies on the part of the organizers, yes. We do understand that the exact prompt week dates may not work well for everyone, which is why we encourage everyone to make their prompt fill(s) early.
Additionally, this is why we allow prompt fill submissions for giveaway ballots up until a week after the actual prompt week. If you're not interested in the giveaway, you can also post even later than that! We'll still retweet/reblog your posts- we welcome Senyuu content at any time ;w;
Q. Do I need to make a prompt fill for every day?
A. Nope! You can even make a prompt fill for just one day if you'd like.
Q. Do I need to use all three prompts for a day? Do I need to use the theme?
A. Nope to both! You just need to use at least one prompt, and the theme is optional.
Q. What kind of requirements are there for a prompt fill?
It must fill at least one prompt (and optionally a theme.) The media doesn't matter - you can fulfill the edit through art, fic, or edits.
We don't want to set hard requirements on the amount of effort you need to put into it. However, please be aware that if you attempt to game the system in any way (ex. draw a bunch of stickmen to get tons of ballots), you will be banned from the giveaway.
Q. Can I make a NSFW prompt fill?
This event and its accounts must remain completely SFW, so we will not retweet anything NSFW, and the prompts themselves will all be SFW. However, you can still make a NSFW prompt fill and have it count as a ballot if you follow the following steps:
Do not post it under the public tag #SnyuWeek2021. This tag must remain SFW.DM us with your prompt fill. We'll mark down your extra ballot!
